To those impacted by the tragedy, we are still here, and we will continue to be here to help you.

Today, the City of Orlando joined Orange County to open the Orlando United Assistance Center. The center is part of our long-term commitment to assist anyone affected by the tragedy.

Our community continues to recover and is transitioning out of the immediate response phase of the tragedy. With the opening of the Orlando United Assistance Center, we’re focused on the long-term recovery needs of the victims, their families and all who were impacted.

The Orlando United Assistance Center will serve as the next phase for our Family Assistance Center, which during eight days of operation at Camping World Stadium, saw 956 individuals and 298 families visit for assistance.

We quickly realized that the assistance center was the critical connection between victims and the important services they need as part of their recovery. Many people arrived thinking that they only needed one or two services, but were able to leave with much more.

Through the new Orlando United Assistance Center, navigators will continue to provide connections to services.

The center is a supportive, inclusive environment and all services are confidential. Culturally-experienced representatives from the Hispanic and LGBT communities will be available.

Together, we will remain Orlando United. And we will continue to support those in need.
