Downtown parking spaces are transformed into interactive green spaces
Join Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer for
ONE LESS CAR,
ONE MORE PARK
On Friday, January 10, 2014, some of the most creative minds in Orlando will transform on-street parking spaces into active green spaces.
Orlando’s One Less Car, One More Park event encourages people to leave their cars at home and take alternate transportation methods (walking, bicycling, carpooling, public transit, etc.) by re-imagining now empty parking spaces into parklets for the community to enjoy.
Please join us on Central Boulevard, in front of Lake Eola in the Thornton Park District between 9:30 am and 2:30 pm and vote on your favorite design!
Hosted by the City of Orlando’s Transportation Planning Division and Families, Parks and Recreation Department, with support from the Thornton Park Main Street District.
