ORLANDO (CityofOrlando.net) – The City of Orlando is offering free women’s self defense classes. The courses provide women with the psychological awareness and verbal skills along with some physical training to help defend themselves if needed.
The classes are sponsored by the Orlando Police Department.
These courses will start in early June and will be held throughout June and July.
The self defense classes are a part of the 31st Annual National Night. National Night Out gives residents the opportunity to get to know the neighbors throughout their neighborhood or community.
Women wanting to participate in the self defense classes must register by calling 407.246.2369.
A Women’s Self Defense Summit will also be held on July 24 at the Dr. James R. Smith Neighborhood Center.
