ORLANDO, Fla., June 27, 2016 /PRNewswire/ — On July 2, 2016, we will be hosting the “Unity Day of Color/Orlando 49 Memorial Service #MARCHWITHPRIDE” to honor the lives of those lost, celebrate the survivors, and demonstrate Orlando is Strong. The Unity Day of Color will be simulcast in London, Canada, South Africa as well as other countries in an attempt to make a worldwide statement that we are more than just one people, one heart, one pulse and that we will come together globally as One Community.
We will begin this event with a march from Pulse Nightclub to ORMC where we will have a prayer and moment of silence. Our goal is to have a mass multicultural event of 20,000 or more people uniting to show love and support to this community. The March will end at the Dr. Phillips Center. We encourage all press to arrive at 4:00 pm ET at Pulse Nightclub. We will start the March at 6:00 pm ET.
The Memorial will be held at the field adjacent to Parliament House Resort located at 410 N. Orange Blossom Trail, Orlando, FL 32805. The gates will be open at 5:30 pm ET and the memorial will begin at 8 pm ET. RSVP numbers for this event are 22,143 attendees and expected to rise.
