Vote for Your Favorite City of Orlando Park This Earth Month

City Park Selected By Voters will Receive $20,000 Through the “Meet Me At The Park” Campaign

Orlando, FL- March 31, 2017 – As part of Earth month in April, the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA), Disney | ABC Television Group and ESPN are collaborating to enhance parks across the U.S., including a park or community center right here in Orlando through the Meet Me At The Park campaign. As part of the initiative, one of three City of Orlando parks will receive a $20,000 grant for improvements and Orlando residents get to select which one.

“Through our Green Works initiative, Orlando has become the most sustainable City in the southeast and part of that achievement comes from our focus on transforming our urban environment to further connect our neighborhoods through parks and unique public spaces for our residents to gather, share, relax and interact,” said Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer. “I am proud Orlando is a part of the Meet Me At The Park competition and how this partnership will help us continue to further these efforts.”

From April 1 until April 30, Orlando residents can vote daily for their favorite park project by text* (standard message and data rates may apply) or online at NRPA.org/BeInspired.

The projects are:

Al Coith Park: Installing new fitness equipment at Al Coith Park to provide aerobic exercise and core muscle strengthening. Vote for this project by texting alcoith to 35350.*
