Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer and District 4 City Commissioner Patty Sheehan Join with the Community for a Ceremonial Dedication of the New Labyrinth and Memorial at Colonialtown Square Park
WHAT:
Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer and District 4 City Commissioner Patty Sheehan will join with the community for the official opening and ceremonial dedication of the labyrinth at Colonialtown Square Park on Wednesday, December 20.
The labyrinth includes a memorial to remember and honor the 49 innocent lives taken during the Pulse tragedy in Orlando on June 12, 2016 and will serve as a unique place in the community where people can gather to reflect and engage in walking meditation.
The memorial consists of an outside circle of pavers engraved with the names of all 49 Pulse victims. In the center of the labyrinth is a multi-colored “Orlando United” heart.

Attendees:
Attendee parking will be available a short walking distance from the park at Colonialtown Neighborhood Center at 1517 Lake Highland Drive and Reeves Memorial United Methodist Church at 1100 North Fern Creek Avenue. Public parking is also available along neighborhood streets in the area. When parking along residential streets, please remember to be mindful of not blocking access to homes.

Media parking will be available on a first-come, first-served basis along Park Lake Street between Fern Creek Avenue and La Salle Avenue from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.
