Bus Tours
Approximately 45 minutes
9:15 a.m., 9:30 a.m., 9:45 a.m., 10:00 a.m., 10:15 a.m., 10:30 a.m. in SPANISH , 11:30 a.m., 11:45 a.m., 12:00 p.m., 12:15 p.m., 1:00 p.m., 1:15 p.m., 1:30 p.m. in SPANISH, 1:45 p.m., 2:00 p.m. and 2:15 p.m.
Hop on a bus with an experienced volunteer guide for a tour around the Orlando Wetlands. You will learn about the purpose and design of the wetlands. Birds and wildlife species will be observed and identified along the way.
Guided Birding Hikes
Approximately 1.25 hours
9:15 a.m., 9:45 a.m., 10:15 a.m., 10:45 a.m., 11:15 a.m., 11:45 a.m., 12:15 p.m., 12:45 p.m., 1:15 p.m. and 1:45 p.m.
Take a guided hike through mixed marsh areas, observing a variety of bird species. Join local birders for a guided hike at this bird-rich wetlands with 253 documented bird species.
Guided Photo Walks
Approximately 1.5 hours
9:30 – 11 a.m. and 1:30 – 3 p.m.
Vinny Colucci – Wildlife and Nature Photo Walk
(Beginner-Intermediate)
Vinny & Annette Colucci will lead the group to walking locations within the Orlando Wetlands to obtain photo images of birds and alligators within the property. From point and shoot cameras, to higher end equipment, Vinny will cover camera settings and composition to capture nesting and birds in flight as well as any other subject we might come across. We will also cover some landscape as the Orlando Wetlands is a beautiful environment for photography. Learn tips and techniques for outdoor photography. Please bring your own camera.

Mark Pollitt – OW as a Photographic Playground
(All Skill Levels)
Mark Pollitt will take the group to selected spots in the wetlands to try their hands at numerous ways in which visitors can use any camera, or phone, to expand their enjoyment of the wetlands through photography. We will explore how the wetlands can be your personal classroom and studio.
Native Plant Identification Hikes Approximately
1.25 hours hike
10:45 a.m. and 12:45 p.m.
Join Florida Native Plant Society for a plant identification hike through a palm and oak hammock.
Aquatic Critter Activity
Approximately 1 hour
9:30 a.m., 10:45 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
Join macroinvertebrate and biology scientists for a family friendly hands-on exploration of aquatic organisms found in the Orlando Wetlands. Participants may use nets to collect macroinvertebrates, fish, and other aquatic species. Specimens will also be on display.
