Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer Takes “First Bite” at the Downtown Orlando Food Tour Kick-Off
Orlando, FL – July 8, 2015 – Today, Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer joined with the Downtown Orlando Partnership (DOP) to announce the new Downtown Orlando Food Tours. Mayor Dyer, along with DOP President Scott Pamplin, took the “first bite” at this kick-off event.

Downtown Food Tours will be open to the public beginning Saturday, July 11 and will take place from 2 – 4 p.m. Tours will run every Saturday thereafter. Guests will walk the Central Business District, visiting some of Downtown’s local favorites and sampling everything from oysters to tequila coffee. The tours will showcase the diversity of cuisines as well as rich history that Downtown Orlando has to offer. Founding restaurant partners include Artisan’s Table, Ferg’s Depot, the Golden Knife, Le Gourmet Break and more.

Downtown Foods Tours will add to Orlando’s wide variety of affordable entertainment and dining options as well as enhance quality of life by adding to our growing event options.

ABOUT DOWNTOWN ORLANDO FOOD TOURS

Downtown Orlando Tours is a collaborative initiative created in 2015 by community organizers and advocates. The food, gallery, history and other tours offered were created to provide residents and visitors insights into Downtown’s vibrant food, art and cultural scene. Each tour is hosted by a local organization and inaugural partners include the Downtown Orlando Partnership, Downtown Arts District and Downtown Development Board/City of Orlando.
