On Saturday, November 12, Mayor Buddy Dyer and his Veterans Advisory Council will host the City of Orlando’s 17th annual Veterans Day Parade to honor the courageous men and women of our armed forces. The parade begins at Orange Avenue and Robinson Street in Downtown Orlando at 11 a.m.

The parade will consist of participants from Central Florida veteran organizations, active duty military, high school marching bands, junior ROTC units and community youth groups.
The parade will move down Orange Avenue to Central Boulevard and then to north Rosalind Avenue.

Veterans Day Parade
Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer and his Veterans Advisory Council invite Central Florida residents and visitors to attend the 17th annual City of Orlando Veterans Day Parade on Saturday, November 12, to honor the courageous men and women of the armed forces who have fought for our nation’s freedoms.
2016 Parade Route
The parade will feature marching bands, ROTC units, veterans groups, active duty military and decorative floats.
The parade begins at 11 a.m. at the corner of Robinson Street and Orange Avenue in Downtown Orlando. The parade’s opening ceremony will take place at 10:45 a.m. near the corner of Orange Avenue and Central Boulevard.
For those unable to attend the parade, you can watch it live on News 13.
Spectator Parking Information
Ample parking is available within walking distance of the parade route. A list of surface lots and garages can be found here. The Central Boulevard Garage (55 West Central Blvd.) and the Library Garage (112 East Central Blvd.) are recommended for all Veterans Day Parade spectators.
Road Closures
Please be aware that multiple events are taking place Downtown on November 12. Road closures will be in effect. A detailed listing of road closures, transportation options, and parking locations for all major November 12 events can be found here.

Public Transportation
The free LYMMO circulator is recommended for Downtown residents who wish to attend the parade. Other alternative transportation options include Ride Share/Carpooling and Bike Share programs.

Veterans Day Parade spectators are invited to stand as each Honor Guard unit carrying the flag passes along the parade route, as well as during the Pledge of Allegiance and National Anthem during the parade’s opening ceremony.
